November

It's crazy to think that it's November! Today we drove to my Grandma's house and there was snow all over the place, although though it was just a thin crunchy layer, it was still so much fun to see. The air was bitter and cold. Though only animal souls wandering about were the deer. The rest were hibernating probably, or something like that. The sky was thick with layers of melancholy clouds, refusing to show anything more than a glimpse of sunshine. Pasta, salads, and baguette were merrily served, as we sat and talked in the warm dining room.  After dinner my Grandma allowed us to enjoy a very scrumptious dessert, homemade donuts from the Amish(so good). The sugar sweet white icing was glazed over the baked dough. With every bite it just reminds you how unique and absolutely delicious this delicacy is. As hot water was set to boil preparing for the evening coffee, me and 2 of my brothers went into the basement to get the Christmas ornaments to decorate my Grandma's tree. Coffee served, Christmas music softly playing, a Christmas movie to enjoy in the living room with me, Caleb, and Jonathan digging through the Christmas tote, attaching hooks to all the hook less ones. Soon the tree was starting to come together spots here and there were quickly filled in with shiny red, gold, and green bulbs. White bulbs embroidered  with glitter were hung to accent the white lights and the angel resting on top with her maroon gown. Bubble lights were strung as my rosy cheeked Grandma told us of how she had bubble lights when she was younger. It was a precious moment, and one I will cherish. My brothers sat on either sides of the green carpeted living room goofing around and watching sponge bob.  I was a little annoyed at them for picking and not giving me the silence I needed to make sure this tree was properly dressed. They really wanted to go outside in the snow, so my Dad took them out just for a couple minuets, but that was enough time to finish the tree. The lights were strung, ornaments hung, and all plugs plugged in. The tree lit up with a lovely glow, standing there in awe, the pretty tree looked round and full. My Grandma sent us off and before leaving made sure I picked some ideal magazines to borrow (love those things). With hands waving, we pulled away onto the road. We then drove ten minutes to get to my Mammaw and Pappa's house and stayed they're for a couple hours. We sat and talked and simply enjoyed each others company. That was my day....a day in November.

October's Warmth

Rain fell softly against the fogged windows, the welcoming warmth embraced my chilled skin. Hot water simmered over the gas stove. I poured the steaming water into my petite white tea pot. Organic earl grey spices flavored the warm drink. I had a delightful little char with myself. Robust potatoes were rinsed, boiled, mashed, and served with spiced steak and cooked broccoli. Finishing, I scarfed down a doughnut. Our scrumptious meal was fit for a king. Rain still descending, soaking my shoes with every step. Joining my family we sat huddled in a circle tossing and rolling dice, formally a game known as Yahtzee. I must get going now for the time is getting late, I hope you enjoyed this little musing, now published through the blogging gate. (trying to rhyme, LOL)

Jesus loves you!!!!!

Ice Skating

via pinterest

Last night I went ice skating for the first time! It was so much fun! I fell over a couple times but I finally got the hang of it. I was able to skate! I didn't take a camera. :( but that's ok I got to skate more. I had lost my voice so talking to my friends was not the easiest. And then a lovely pimple popped up in the middle of my face, I was like come on! :p But then after reading my magazine Bible, I realized it's not my outer beauty that counts it's my inner beauty that matters. So even though I fell over many times, LOL. God helped me to get back up every time and keep trying. By the way I recomend listening to this totally sweet song- "You Lead" by Jamie Grace.
Have a great day, Jesus loves you!!!!!

//January//

This month God has really been working on my heart. I have been learning to trust Him. Sometimes life is hard, and we go through trials. But through all of it, trust God and stay in His Word. If you have a testimony I would totally enjoy hearing it. I think it would be encouraging to all of us. This month I went into depression, and really struggled. But with God's help and my family and friends, I am so much better now. I now know in my heart that Jesus is real and that He is hear for me. Some days all I could do was sleep and dance and write in my journal. I thank God for saving me!
Some of my recent hobbies have been-
crocheting
dancing
basketball
reading "the note"
watching movies
late night shopping sprees
starbucks drinks
sleeping
photo taking
instagram
listening to Christian music
coffee drinking
obsessively facebooking
How has your January been?

In Christ,
Hannah :)

how?

Right now we are still looking for a house and a job. Some things you just don't know how they're going to work out. Now it's easy to trust God when everything seems perfect, but trusting God when things are hard now that's a different story. I am so glad that we moved out here to Pennsylvania. It's just difficult sometimes not having a house, because it's nice to have your own space. A place you can relax and take a break.  Church has been great! Everyone is so friendly and nice, and they make you feel so welcome. Please pray that God would show us what house He wants us to live in and that there would be good job available somewhere. Jesus loves you for you not because of what you've done or what you look like!
God bless,

Hope For The Burgh

On Saturday my family and I went to help out at an event called Hope For The Burgh. We gave away backpacks with school supplies in them, groceries, hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, and drinks. They had a petting zoo and a horse ride. They gave away a blu-ray player and a tv and some smaller items. It was really cool!  We were able to bless people and share the love of Jesus with them! =)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while I've been kinda busy and be sure to check out this great post on Carlotta's blog. Thanks a bunch and God bless,

I stayed up all night!

I woke up yesterday at 9:00 AM then at 7 PM I went to youth group at church and they were having an all nighter! I stayed up all night there. At midnight we ate hotdogs and burgers, and at 3 AM we had a service outside (it was really cold) and they had teaky torches and a fire in a trash can thingy. We sang a worship song and the youth pastor gave a small messege. Then at 5 AM we ate pancakes. We played lots of games like- dodgeball, hide and seek, a relay race, and more. I was pretty much awake until 5 AM and then I started to feel tired. I then watched Horton Hears A Who. My Mom and Dad picked me up at 8 this morning. When I got home I slepped until 4:30 PM. After I got up I sat around for a while and then ate a turkey dinner my Grandma made (yum). I am glad I went and I will enjoy my sleep tonight. LOL
